Sometimes It All Starts With A Drop

The significance of the picture to the left would be lost except on those well versed in philosophy of the East. To explain that aspect of a beginning would probably be worthwhile for some - a quick answer to a trivial pursuit game somewhere to win a beer... but the value of that knowledge is not in the knowledge itself. It is in the journey to get it. That is an important aspect of the site. This site is a journey, a living entity that courses from me through my keyboard.

9 years ago, I started writing for fun and profit. It wasn't something that I planned, it was not something that I studied for but it was something that has always been with me. Many people who have known me longer than these 9 years have told me that I should write. In many ways, I wanted to write. The question, always, was what I should write about. It was the focus on the answer that let me devalue the question so much, because the question has so much more value than the answer. It has not been an easy road, and I fully expect that it will continue being difficult.

But it all starts with a drop.

KnowProSE.com was once my personal site - it wasn't a reference, it didn't house much of anything but what I had written. In time, the site took a life of its own and it seemed like writing for it was like working. It has also become a place where it seems inappropriate, at least to me, to simply be me.

This site is about my journey; KnowProSE.com remains the professional site and Your2ndPlace.com remains the place of virtual worlds. There will be cross referencing, I am sure - but even the most powerful categorizing mechanisms do not help me on the existing sites.

Now I have a new one. And like the drop that started the river (ahh, a hint for those curious), OpenDepth.com does not open with a sudden deluge of water.
