The Seeker

A close friend of mine got me looking at songs on YouTube as a way of communicating things. Its funny how a song - the right song - can say so much. Over the years, my life has had a soundtrack - so I have been looking for the songs one at a time over at YouTube - and I have been shocked to find many of them.

It seemed fitting to share 'The Seeker' first. If there's one song that could describe one of the main undercurrents of my life, it would be this one. Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy played on an 8-track behind the computer, even during the 80s. It was only a few years ago that I found the old 8-track cassette, a legacy of time that did not survive. It was written before I was a stray thought. And I later found out that it was written in a swamp in Florida under the influence of alcohol.

Its rare to find songs these days that match this sort of sound, I think. I suppose this is before the recording industry started telling people what they should like.

I was never very good at being told what I should like. :-)

So there is the first song that says something about me. Many more to come.
