Some people who, at one time, were close to me sold something recently at a very low price - and before doing so, literally gave people things so that they could make a quick sale. When I was asked to comment by a few different people, my response was very simple:

Everyone gets what they deserve.

When things are handed to you and you have to expend no effort, I suppose it's easy to simply throw it away for a fast dollar. In my mind, now owning something similar, I had thought much the same of what I have before I got it. But then I looked at it. I took the time to get to know it even better. I touched it, I inhaled it, I tasted it.

Everyone gets what they deserve.

And in my own mind, I have decided what I deserve. Everyone makes these decisions every day, consciously or not. Little actions have great effects, great efforts have little effects that trickle through the web of life.

And, even if it is only a hope, we all get what we deserve - we get what we put in, no more and no less.
