Victim

Victims

The world is full of victims. Some know that they are victims, others do not. Some are victims of themselves and blame others, some are victims that blame themselves - but most victims are victims because of both others and themselves. Yes, someone may do someone wrong - and the first time, as the saying goes, is the fault of the aggressor. It's the robbing of an innocence.

Another saying states that those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it. This is where the 'shame on me' aspect of the first saying comes into play. This is where the victims victimize themselves and, perhaps, others.

All of this stands at an individual level, and because of that it stands at all levels where individuals are part of a collective.

After the loss of innocence, the victim plays an increasing role in further victimization. What is tricky is that the victim has to realize that there was a loss of innocence in the first place.
